I haven't seen anything like it in recent memory.  I have seen bad mail
crash an IMS in 5.5 or the SMTP VS in 2000 and 2003.

Hi,

W2kSrv Sp4, Exch 2000 SP3, (Information Store service set to auto restart in
the event of failure)

This is a strange one....Every other day I receive an e-mail from.

'Messagepop.btconnect.comDoumentpop.btconnect.comMsgpop.btconnect.comDocumen
tpop.btconnect.comFcfcDocumentpop.btconnect.com........etc'
The e-mail has no Subject.

When this e-mail hits my server it crashes the Information Store. When the
IS restarts I receive an e-mail with the following info.
"MAILSERVER1" has reported a "Warning". Reported status is: Queues -
"Unknown" Drives - "Unknown" Services - "Warning" Memory - "Unknown" CPU -
"Unknown"

The information store also crashes if i also try to open or forward the
offending e-mail from my inbox....but I can delete it?!?

I think the problem is due to the From field being to long, but I'm unsure

Has anyone come across anything like this before / can offer some advice on
what to do?

All help is greatly appreciated.
