That's Native mode Win2k3 or native mode Exchange that his can only occur and I'm assuming that these are mail enabled USG's correct.

The Exchange store.exe process will then convert them to USGs for you, but this can only occur in a native mode domain. In other words, done correctly, it's all done for you. :) -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of John Strongosky Posted At: 08 September 2004 17:33 Posted To: Swynk Exchange (30 days) Conversation: Exchange 2003 Uneversial Security Groups and Exchange 5.5 DL's Subject: Exchange 2003 Uneversial Security Groups and Exchange 5.5 DL's Hey, A question for those of you that have gone thru the migration from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003. We are planning to have a win2k3 native domain and exchange 5.5/EX2k3 mixed mode. From what I've read in doing my research for our migration is that when we migrate the Exchange 5.5 DL's that we use for permissions on Public Folders that they are converted to Universal Security Groups. Are these mail enabled security groups or do I have to created another Distribution group to replace the ones that we used for permissions and are converted? Thanks... john _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=exchange&text_mode=& lang=english To unsubscribe send a blank email to %%email.unsub%% Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
