I would, and don't forget to exclude that directory from flat-file av scans as well.

Reason I'm asking is, on our full server backups, several files in the srsdata directory were skipped, so we had 4 exceptions in the backup. We're using Backup Exec 9.1 I've read the MS article "Exchange Server 2003 Disaster Recovery Operations Guide," and the only directory it mentions that you should exclude from a full server backup is <drive>:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\MDBDATA So, I'm wondering if the article just forgot to mention excluding the srsdata directory, since only one server per site will have that directory anyway, or if you still need to back up that directory in a full server backup. I'm hoping this is an easy answer, or maybe somebody has a different article to look at for best practices in backing up E2K3. ==================================== Larry Wahlers, Systems Specialist Concordia Technologies The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=exchange&text_mode=&lang =english To unsubscribe send a blank email to %%email.unsub%% Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
