Windows 2000 servers
Exchange 2000 servers

Hi all,
I have six servers in remote locations connected via VPN, all in the organization.
Lately I have been noticing that my backups are completing with an exception: SRS
backup failing. Am I correct in saying that SRS is only needed in mixed mode (Exchange
5.5/2000) situations? Is it safe to remove the SRS from the backup list. All of these
servers are Exchange 2000 full installs, not upgrades so I'm wondering why SRS is
installed or needed. I didn't perform the installs. Thanks in advance.

John
