Is it going to be a new IP address together with a new NIC? Or just an
additional IP address on the same NIC?

Subject: Adding a second SMTP virtual server

I want to add a second SMTP virtual server - Exch2K SP3, Win2K SP4, OWA and
Exchange on same box - no FE/BE, etc. I am planning on adding a second IP
address to the box for the new virtual server to use. Are there any strange
issues I should be aware of when multihoming an Exchange server? I know its
bad news on WINS servers and DCs but I haven't read anywhere that it is a
bad plan for Exchange. I just thought Id ask the brightest before possibly
crashing it... Thanks!
