40 users and a single public folder calendar? Exmerge. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ron Jameson Sent: Monday, October 04, 2004 3:55 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Recommended/fastest path exchange 5.0 to 2003
I have a client who needs a new mail server. They are running exchange 5.0 on an NT4 DC with trusts to a Win2000 domain. Exchange is grabbing the accounts from the 2000 domain. We want to swap out the old mail server and put in exchange 2003 on Win2003 member server to be a part of the Win2000 AD domain. In anyone's experience - is it better to upgrade to 5.5 first then join the 2003 exchange box to that old NT4 site and move mail resources over? Or, just exmerge the mailboxes and basically build the new Exchange 2003 fresh with imports? Mailboxes of 40 users are not large - just the single public folder calendar is the most crucial part. Thoughts?
