ex 2003

Now here's where I'm a tad Confused, I had (prior to exchange) symantec
corp ed 8.0

Then I acquired Symantec Mail Security for Exchange ( for Spam so I thought)

a.. NEW! Multi-layered spam prevention combines various spam detection
technologies-including a heuristics antispam engine, real-time blacklisting,
custom filtering rules, and whitelisting - to maximize detections and
minimize false positives
a.. NEW! Provides full support for Microsoft Exchange 2003 and leverages
its Virus Scan API v2.5 and new Spam Confidence Level feature
a.. NEW! Score-based spam handling allow messages to be handled based on
their Spam Confidence Level

Now My Exchange Has the Mail Security installed , and my other DC has The
SAV 8.0 installed,

Not sure which is catching what , I'm waiting for a call back from Symantec.

The AV scanner scanned the message and does not have access to the
sender address. Not knowing the Exchange version or the AV product
version it's a but difficult to say much more other than different AV
scanners use different mechanisms and the APIs and their associated
functionality vary based on the versions of Exchange.
