I certainly wasn't advising John to manually move them, but if they *had been* manually moved then it may cause problems like this.

Veritas has a habit of getting its knickers in a twist ... and Vertitas Support has a habit of telling you to upgrade to fix the problem (which usually introduces a different type of problem!). Also, have you manually moved the transaction log files? Just a thought ... Somehow Veritas seems to not be aware that the transaction log files are supposed to be purged. Are the transaction log files growing and growing? I have circular logging turned off however BE still purges the logs after backing up the stores. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Reasoner, Bob (PHES) Sent: Wednesday, October 06, 2004 1:48 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Backup Exec Issue I seem to recall Veritas wants you to enable Circular Logging and do a purge each night, but don't recall for sure. I do know that's how we do it. I'm getting successful backups each night but the transaction logs aren't being purged after the backup is complete. I checked the job definition and it has selected: Full-Database&Logs (Purge committed logs). But my logs still do not get purged. Has anyone seen this issue? If so, how did you resolve it?
