You should really upgrade to 8.1. It fixed a lot of the weirdness in the 7.6.x clients.

I've set exclusions up on the clients, I've set them up in SSC for both the daily administrative scan and the real-time scan, nothing. They keep scanning them all. Cost me a blown-away .stm file on Monday. It was not fun. :) One odd thing (at least Microsoft says they've never seen it before) is that if you look at the file exclusions in the clients, you can see nothing until you stop the NAV client service. Then you can see the exclusions. With the services running, all you see is an "unchecked" My Computer. Microsoft tells me that's not normal behavior. I have both NAV Corporate file level scanning and NAV for Exchange installed. Overkill? Thoughts, anyone, before I go nuts?
