Is there another way to accomplish this so the people know when the rooms are booked when they set up a meeting in the rooms ??

All I am having problems with the public folder calendars that I have set up for our conference rooms showing free or busy information. The calendars are mail enabled and when you select the conference room as a resource it still shows that there is no information for that room. I am running Exchange 2000 SP 3 . Any help is appreciated
