Here is the fix... According to the current situation, I suggest you perform the following steps: 1. Check the DNS configuration. Please check the DNS configuration on the Exchange 5.5 server and the server you want to install Exchange 2003, and make they are same. And try to resolve each other by fully qualified domain name (FQDN). 2. Makde sure that the Exchange 5.5 service account was not locked out and had needed permissions. 3. Check setting from ADSI Edit. ======================== A. Launch ADSI Edit, expand the configuration container CN=Configuration,CN=Services,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Org Name,CN=Administrative Group,CN=Site Name. b. Right click the Exchange 5.5 Site Name or mixed AG ,Select properties under properties to view select Msexchlegacyaccount if the Exchange 5,5 service account is not set in the value(s) field, enter the account name in edit attributes, click set, apply, ok. C. 3.Next check for the Msexchlegacydomian, get the properties of the exchange 5.5 site name again, and check msExchLegacyDomian and msExchLegacyDomian. Both should be NOT SET.
