Its also relevant if you have multiple personalities.

In 5.5, I've been palming off that obligation to the person who wants the
DL. Unfortunately, in 2003, we've been bitten by the "known problem"
whereby folks can no longer manage their DL's through Outlook (see message
below).
Our Windows expert is aware that the registry hack isn't working, but hasn't
had time to look into it, as it's low priority.

Frankly, our users would rather that the help desk manage DL's anyway, so
that's probably the way we will go.

I have had this problem ever since we migrated from exchange 5.5 (we are on
Exchange 2003/sp1 now) ... We have mutiple domains, very often with DL's in
one domain and users in another ... I have tried everything (except for
AutoDL --- which I will not try) and had no success ...

Good luck and let us know if you can fix this "known issue"

Mike

Thanks, Nate and Andrey.

Even though this is about Exchange 2000, I followed this article right down
to the letter. I gave myself privs over the whole OU to change DL
membership, and I even gave myself full privs on the DL itself. Still can't
do anything in Outlook 2003, though. And, the AutoDL utility that is
mentioned seems to only work in Exchange 2000/AD 2000.

Anyway, it's nearly quitting time (at least until I get paged!). I'm sure
our secretaries and other folks who like to modify group memberships via
Outlook are going to continue to want this ability! And, maybe after
Exchange and AD have a while to decide if I have enough privs or not, it may
work.

I'll keep snooping around, but if anybody has any words of wisdom, I'm still
listening!
