Michael, Thanks. 1=no, 2 I'm not sure - top of forest has recently moved to w2k3 and I think permissions may be denying me view access, I'm admin at child domain level (e.g ADSI edit won't let me view beyond local). Could you briefly detail steps to view services entry?

No recip policy or smtp connectors for the peer domain exist. These were removed after the peer domains Exchange demise - which was messy, there may be traces left in AD. If so, eliminate them. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Paul X. Christopher (UCL-MSD) Sent: Thursday, November 18, 2004 11:57 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Mail Loop on Ex2k Adv or How to Crash Exchange Hi, A user sent a message to '=SMTP:[EMAIL PROTECTED]' where domain is a peer domain with a now non-existent Exchange server. How this happened is unclear but user says 'my typing was changed automatically' so the address is retrieved from AD or users contacts. The result is constant looping behaviour that sees the transaction logs growing at 70MB per minute which filled the 5gb log partition and shut down all the mail stores. The message is not in the queues. Dismounting the user's mail store stops the looping, other mail stores are unaffected. If the mail store re-mounted briefly tracking log shows the message with repeat SMTP: Message Submitted to Advanced Queuing SMTP: Stated Message Submission to Advanced Queue SMTP: Message Submitted to Categorizer Any ideas on how to cure this?
