Saw this on a few users on our recent swing from 2000 to 2003. Do you have any public folders? I saw that even though the profile updated to the new mailbox location the public folders still pointed to the old server.
Deleting the account in Outlook and setting it back up cleared it. I have alleviated any storage group being the issue, cause I have logged into outlook as myself on a few different PC's and it hangs (it doesn't hang on mine). Also, I will be turning my attention to other than the Exchange server, cause it doesn't happen on mine or my colleagues. But, if anyone has experienced this...please continue to chime in. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of User, IS (PHES) Sent: Tuesday, December 14, 2004 4:19 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: migrated mailboxes, now Outlook hang at startup I think he might be referring to the "Outlook Today" view. We have run into problems from time to time where if a users outlook is set to default to the "Outlook Today" they get weird errors and outlook hangs or crashes. If we change it away from outlook today it works fine until we correct the problem. In our case the problem tended to be related to server virtual memory problems due to us running too much RAM on the server etc. When the server would start fragmenting the virtual memory users would start reporting these crashes on load. A reboot of the server would sometimes resolve the client problems, but ultimately fixing the server problem corrected the client problem. Just recently, when users open Outlook, it hangs after about 3 seconds for about a minute, then everything is fine. You close Outlook and open it again and it does the same thing. I've updated the clients to the latest sp of Outlook. I have rebooted both servers (FE & BE), just to rule out a server caching issue, this task, although was not necessary, did not work either. The issue does not effect all Storage groups. Anyone experience this or have a clue?
