Exchange 5.5

I used exmerge to extract email from users mailbox to .pst.  Then deleted
the mailbox and created a new one on my new exchange server.  This is
because I was unable to move the users mailbox from old exchange server to
new exchange server due to corruption.  Now his Outlook will not connect to
the new mailbox on the new server.  I do not see any problems with the
mailbox, but when I try to change his current profile or create a new one to
the new exchange server it hangs.  No other user's are having this problem.

Any ideas?
