pskill? what's PSKill and where can I get it? :-) Our mail server is running
Win2000 Server and our monitoring system is Win2000 Pro. If this is
something I can use to reset the service that'd be great! :-)

I have band-aided the problem that when it goes down, my monitoring server
knows it and initiates pskill on the services and than restarts it. All is
fine then. I want to know root cause, even though we will be migrating to
e2k3 very soon.

Well, if it's any consolation, I've experienced the same problem. I
*thought* it was a result of having Outlook 2003/XP clients on the LAN, but
that does not appear to be the case (I read a KB document awhile back that
this could cause problems.) Fortunately, I have VPN access and can connect
to the mail / OWA server and reboot it from remote, if necessary. OTOH, a
REALLY annoying problem is that the on-board video on that server is messed
up and the only video card I could get to work is like a 2-meg PCI video
card. :-) Oh, well.

I have an older exchange 5.5 sp4, IIS 4. Every now and again OWA just craps
out and IIS requires a restart. There is nothing in the app log nor in the
iis logs that indicate a problem. Any ideas?
