I used to routinely set it to 1 minute and never saw a problem. I say 'used to' because I cannot remember the last time I set it. :)
However, I saw Paul Bowden mentioning that he'd seen customers setting it to 15 mins on 500-1000 user servers with no apparent issues. Not that this is a 'recommended' figure - just a rubber stamp, I guess. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Michael B. I generally set it to five minutes on my systems, 'cuz of the warning that says "if you set the time-out values to very low values, you may affect the performance of the server." But the KB doesn't define "very low values". Is that one minute? Five seconds? (for CacheTTLUser) I just dunno... -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ed Crowley [MVP] Sent: Friday, January 14, 2005 1:42 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Read a alternate users message Is there any reason not to set that registry setting to 1 (minute)? Aside from resetting her password, and logging on to her workstation , is there another way of achieving this? I did the message track , the message did arrive, and it is the one she needs, what are my options if any?
