Cheers Chris (and others). Sounds like LAN it is. I agree getting off 5.5 would be nice, cost has put us off so far as, barring things like this, it still does the job. I suspect when we do move it will be driven by lack of support more than it not doing what we need it to do, but c'est la vie :-)
