Hi Folks

I have a question regarding the behaviour of Exchange 2003 and the Outlook 2003
client after a Exchange restore. This is a hypothetical question regarding
conflict resolution and I was wondering if you guys knew the answer to avoid me
undertaking some lengthy testing.

The scenario is that Exchange 2003 has crashed and the Outlook 2003 clients
have up-to-date synced info. The Exchange server is restored to an hour
previous, so there is information on the clients that the server does not know
about.

When the client machines resynch with the restored Exchange Server, how is the
conflict between the two resolved? I would like to think that the client
Outlook 2003 intelligent synchronization would update the server, but I am not
sure. Can anybody put my mind at rest?

Thanks

Alister
