I work at a small enough company to filter .zip files. So I also been filtering .rar .arj .arc, etc.. For the same reason as .zip files, but I have had no fallout for these extentions, so it was like having a file safety net. I filter a lot more extensions the Martin Blackstone's List of Danger, that seem not to interfere with normal operations, but have a certain level of risk.

New Virus & .RAR files A co-worker just dropped in to mention this new and improved virus that is using archive files called .rar as the attachment. I don't have a lot of information, or even a link right now, but I didn't see anything at Trend's web site and was wondering if anyone here had heard or seen anything.
