OK I have builded a DR server with the same drive mapping and install the backup software (ArcserveIT) with the Exchange options. I have a old tape that was backup on the production server and I want to restore the information store to the DR server. When I restore and uncheck the original location then browse the DR server there is no Information Store on the list. Is there a way to restore the information store to a different server?

I've put Outlook on my recovery server and after I run the DS/IS consistency adjuster I associated the account that I logged on to the recovery server to that mailbox and then configure a new profile in outlook for that mailbox and change the profile not to authenticate automatically. I then just add a pst file to outlook and then copy the email to it then disconnect the pst from outlook. Create the server with a different name, same drive letter mappings for the DBs, logs, and exes, but create a new exchange org and site. The important thing is to make the new org and site EXACTLY the same as the old one, but don't join the old one, create a duplicate new one. You can then restore your backup, run the DS/IS consistency adjuster, and have your mailboxes available to exmerge data out of. I've set this up in multiple environments and it has worked wonderfully. I was consistently able to recover mailboxes in a few hours with no production downtime. Make sure SP levels for exchange are identical.
