ADU&C shows five SystemMailboxes:
status home store
1 disabled production 2003 server
2 disabled production 2003 server
3 disabled (no exch attributes; decommissioned 5.5 server?)
4 disabled decommissioned 2000 server
5 enabled decommissioned 2000 server
Can I delete the IDs that no longer reside on active home stores? I ask
because I'm trying to install KVS Enterprise Vault OWA extensions and the
config process fails when it tries to modify these dead mailboxes. Trolling
around on the internet, I find a couple of warnings never to delete these IDs,
but none of those warnings acknowledge a scenario in which the SystemMailbox
ID's home store no longer exists. Back when I uninstalled Exchange per KB
260378, PSS told me I didn't need to move the SystemMailbox mailbox to the new
server, so I didn't.
