EX55 on NT4 SP6a The outgoing messages are all piled up and not leaving the queue. Checking the Event Viewer, I see whole bunch of event id 4026:
"Unable to bind the outbound TCP/IP socket. Mail will be resent later." If I try to stop & start the IMS service, the first time it gives me an error starting it, but the next time starts ok and clears the queue. I searched MS KB/Technet & Eventid, but I couldn't find anything on this. Could this be a DNS issue? Although DNS seems to be functioning fine on the server, by testing nslookup, tracert, and telnet to port 25 of few mail servers by name successfully. Any ideas?
