Don't use the software thae came with the Blackberry, go to
www.blackberry.com and download the newest Desktop software.  Your
version is probably old and newer versions will most likely resolve the
issues.

We've got a handful of 'em on a 30-day trial. After installing version
4.0 of BES, I had to immediately install Hotfix 1 to fix some issues. 

The issues still aren't fixed, but they aren't show-stoppers. Mostly
category syncronization.
