Q. What is the Windows Small Business Server 2003 Transition Pack? A. The Windows Small Business Server 2003 Transition Pack provides a way for customers to grow out of Windows Small Business Server 2003 into the standard line of server products. The transition pack contains both technology and licensing components. Q. Why would I buy the Windows Small Business Server 2003 Transition Pack? A. You would purchase the transition pack for the following reasons: . You need more than 75 users or devices . You want to separate the Windows Small Business Server components (for example, Windows Server 2003, Exchange Server 2003, or SQL Server) onto separate server machines. . You want features available only in the enterprise editions of Windows Server System, such as SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition or Exchange Server 2003 Enterprise Edition. http://www.microsoft.com/windo-wsserver2003/sbs/howtobuy/pric-ing.mspx Transition Pack Standard Edition $1,769 T72-00346 n/a n/a Transition Pack Premium Edition $3,522 T75-00039 n/a n/a 5-Pack Transition CALs $194 Device: T74-01130 User: T74-01131 n/a n/a 20-Pack Transition CALs $776 Device: T74-01132 User: T74-01133 n/a n/a -- -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Tony Woods Sent: Monday, March 07, 2005 12:38 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Move from SBS 2000 to AD 2003 Hello, As the subject says, I'm looking to migrate approx 45 users from SBS 2000 to AD 2003. It's the Exchange portion I'm having trouble with. I've been googling this for a bit and haven't come across any solid ideas so I'm wondering if anyone out there has done this or has links to articles on it? I know I could easily export or exmerge their mail but I'm wondering if there's an easier way? The new domain will be named the same as the old one on the SBS server. Any ideas appreciated.
