No, no need for you to do that. They send to you on port 25. The 587 set up is just how their traveling customers connect to give the email to Earthlink.

Something came up in a discussion with Earthlink support today. Their users use port 587 to send mail rather than 25. The tech wasn't clear about how earthlink then connects to remote mail users. Do you know if the problem is that I need to allow port 587 through in my firewall and then listen for it on the Exchange Server? _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To subscribe: http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
