There could be several reasons why it wouldn't mount, and the error messages you would have received are generally very specific. What were your error messages?

I tried it, and couldn't get the restore to work. The way I broke the original database, after backing it up, and on a test server of course, was to remove the priv.edb file from the test machine, marking the database as able to be replace during a restore, restored from the backup (without a RSG in place so it'd overwrite the original), and tried to moung the store. It wouldn't mount. Didn't work even if I deleted all the files in the folder, including the transaction logs and everything. So, I just created a new database, since it's just a test system anyway. Ideas? Suggestions? My boss would like to see that we can actually restore from backups.
