Our Archive Solution is Legato Networker with an ADIC 36 tape slot x2
tape drive Library using the new 200GB native Ultrium2 drives
(pronounced big and fast), that is 7TB + 1 Cleaning tape in slot 36.

Only 300 users, we filled all of the tapes using monthly FULL with daily
incrementals in 3 months.

Doesn't sound too bad right?

The tapes are $52 each, that means we have $1,872 in tapes in the
machine x4 for one year retention = $7,488 (in tapes)...

Ok now factor in the Freedom of Information Act.. 10 years with of each
version of a document or email....Yes by all means just add the zeros..

Oh did I mention your tax dollars at work?
