I was wrong. Both have PSTs, however, one user's PST is less than 1 MB and
the other's is less than 50. Both PSTs are on the local drive. I did
discover that drivespace on one machine was down to less than 200 MB on the
C: drive. I freed up some space and it now has on the order of 300 megs...
still not what I'd like, but it's acceptable.

Nope. No PSTs that I'm aware of. Except in my case. I archive to PST myself.

Are there any PST's involved here?
Maybe the PST's are getting to large?

Subject: Outlook problems
A bit of info before asking my question --
Exchange 5.5 running on Win2k Server, Clients mostly OL97, a few OL2000, and
some OL2003/XP. Most clients running on Win98, a few NT4 and even fewer XP.
Problem:
A couple of my NT4 users are complaining that occasionally when attempting
to switch folders, their Outlook will lock up, and even after waiting as
long as 15 minutes, Outlook will not unfreeze, so they have to kill Outlook
and restart it. I know one of the NT4 users is using OL2000 (SP1) and I'm
not sure about the other one reporting problems.
Any suggestions? I experience problems sometimes if I happen to attempt to
change folders just as a new message comes in. I'm running OL2000 SP3 on
Win2kPro. I wonder if the same thing isn't happening to my NT4 users, but I
would have thought NT and 2000 would handle this sort of thing better than
98.
Thanks
John
