Subject: Slow Exchange connection just started

Local users connecting to Exchange (W2K3, E2K3, OL2002 or 2003) just saw a
serious slowdown in authentication begin about 10-12 days or so ago -- when
Outlook first comes up it may require one, sometimes two 'Retries'
before it opens.  Once open, it seems still responsive.  I suspect this is a
result of a hotfix or patch -- anyone having the same issue?  I've seen this
over a VPN before but never on the local LAN.
