Already mentioned that. The boss isn't interested. Maybe he'll change his
tune later, but... *shrug*

John, the support for exchange ends this Jan. and I'm currently trying to
find out about a program that Microsoft will offer to extend the support.
>From what I been told by the guys/gals on this list that have looked into it
that it will cost somewhere in the 6 figures. So maybe you can use that as
an incentive....

WHAT E2k3 migration. :-( Unfortunately, it looks like we're not going to do
that. I'd like it if we did, or even got RID of Exchange altogether in favor
of a *nix-based mail server, but that's not going to happen either. *sigh*

It will cause messages w/attachments not to be forwarded rather than
stripping attachments. You might be able to write something in CDO to manage
forwarding but there is nothing built in. Perhaps as part of your
E2K3 migration you can push improved mobile access as an alternative to
simple forwarding.

Subject: Exchange 5.5

We have several people who have their email delivered to both their Exchange
mailbox and a 3rd-party cell phone (NOT using Blackberry or anything
directly tied to Exchange.) Because one of our VPs is doing this and getting
his email delivered to his cell phone, he would like to strip attachments. I
have looked in the Exchange 5.5 Admin console and don't see any way to do
that (his cell is a "custom recipient") but I do see a way to limit the size
of messages. Would that work, and if so, what would you suggest we limit the
size of attachments to?
