Are you using the DC as the DNS for exchange? I had similar issues trying BIND as our main DNS, seems BIND needs additional tweaking to work correctly in the Dynamic DNS world that is win2k3.
I Unhappily switched to MS DNS on the DC, and, mostly, the net seems stable now.
