Exmerge if you know the subject.
Since you are using 5.5, you can use isscan.

Subject: offline search

Hello Everyone, running exchange 5.5. I know I can use the standard
outlook search capabilities to search for an email but is there any way
to search through the IS for some text pattern.

The situation is this, we have a mailbox with several million emails in
it, we don't want to use the outlook search and download all of the
emails. Can we use some utility (exmerge???) to search on the Exchange
level?

TIA

Aristotle Zoulas
