Ok. Thanks. The problem he's been experiencing is that mail will stop being
delivered (apparently, although if you go to the OWA page, you can see new
messages.) I'll tell him to try keeping no more than 500 messages per folder
and see if that helps.

Hard to say since "He's having problems" is hardly a descriptive statement.
Have him split up the folders so that he doesn't have more than a few
hundred in any folder.

My boss is running OL2k3 and our exchange servers are Ex 5.5. He's got a
rather large mail folder, about 1.5 gigs with about a gig in deleted items.
He's having problems accessing his email unless he auto-archives frequently.
He's running Windows XP Pro and the servers are Win2k Server. Any
suggestions (other than upgrading) to fix the problem?
