That's why I asked.

Hello,

ADMT and Migration Wizard ... it looks like I should've said.

Looks like a fair amount of MS tools to do it (MIIS, ...). Looks like PFs
will be annoying.

For a "simple" migration anyone found NetIQ, or others tools more helpful
than what MS currently offers?

Thanks,
Brent

Move mailbox works between forests? That's news to me.

Subject: Migration to new Forest

Hello,

Getting a new Company name, New DNS Name, New Servers. Our existing Forest
has been upgraded in place since Windows for WorkGroup days, so seems like a
good time to create a new Forest and migrate into it.

Existing Forest: 2003 Native, single domain. Exchange Servers 2003:
Native. ~1,500 Mailboxes.

New Forest: Same.

All servers in the same building (no bandwidth / connectivity issues).

Looking through some of the Deployment and Planning guides, it looks like
you can create a Trust between two Forests, Move Mailbox works across
Forests, there's an OUTLOOK 2003 profile updater run on the client side, and
Public Folder Synchronization is possible . Sounds like clients lose Rules
and Delegates.

Others been down this road you can provide any feedback on what doesn't work
as well as hoped, etc...?

Thanks,
Brent
