Can't create multiple without scripting or writing a custom address generation dll.[1] This problem was solved in E2K and E2K3, so once you upgrade you can do this without the need to do anything particularly special. You can change the default address generation in site addressing (IIRC) and can use bulk import and export to create multiple addresses now. You can also use aliasing in the IMC to map [EMAIL PROTECTED] to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and just have a single explicitly defined address... which more or less works until you upgrade.
[1] Seems a waste as support ends in just a few months for the product anyway. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of titanic panic Posted At: Thursday, September 15, 2005 1:03 PM Posted To: swynk Conversation: generate 2 internet e.mail addresses when creating a mailbox? Subject: generate 2 internet e.mail addresses when creating a mailbox? Exch. 5.5 SP4 Windows NT 4 Our organization is moving from @lawyerandlawyer.com to @lawyer.com for reasons of shortening and simplifying our e.mail addresses. However, they'd like to make @lawyer.com the default reply-to address but still keep @lawyerandlawyer.com. Is there a way to automatically create both e.mail addresses when creating a mailbox? Also, how do I change the default domain from @lawyerandlawyer.com to @lawyer.com? Thanks for any help, Joon _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To subscribe: http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
