All, Exchange 2000 SP4 w/latest hotfixes, Outlook XP.
I have a user who has deleted a public folder which is in the root of all public folders. We have deleted item retention set to 20 days. However, when I try and recover the folder using recover deleted items it says I do not have permission to do so. As it is in the root of all public folders I cannot give myself editor rights in order to restore the mailbox and I don't think the user who deleted it has either as it won't let them recover. I can see the public folder but I can't recover. I then tried to use Outlook Web Access to access the deleted folder using the following syntax - http://servername/public/toplevel/subfolder/?cmd=showdeleted&btnClose=1 It asks for UID and Password ..and I keep getting Page Not found I am performing this recover on the public folder store and not a replica. Is there any way of giving myself permission to recover this folder or is there another way to access it via OWA. Any pointers much appreciated.
