First things first... I'm running Exchange 5.5 with a bunch of users who's
smtp address has been deleted to prevent them from receiving outside email.
We have a system on a Unix box that has a button which will send an
automated email to a pre-designated recipient, one of the aforementioned
"internal-only" users. This user is not receiving those emails. I'm guessing
it's because the SMTP connection doesn't exist for that user and Exchange is
seeing it as an external connection and refusing to deliver the email
because there is no SMTP connector for this user.
Is there any way to fix this short of adding the SMTP address back to this
user's account?
Thanks
John
