Thanks Kevin I appreciate the lengthy reply. I'm coming to the conclusion that one of two ways is the best way to proceed:
1) consolidate that sites mailboxes to main site 2) get 2003 in place up here, then consolidate their mailboxes to a 2003 server that's part of the main site admin group I have to say I lean towards the latter, they have suitable server hardware and they have support in so much as there isn't much I can't do with an iLo and Terminal Services. The main thing is that it seems I don't need to rush into using the MSW before starting the migration up here, whichever route I go down it can be done within its own schedule.
