You just asked for the name.
Did you read "adfind /?" and look at the examples?? No, you didn't.
Adfind -root -f proxyaddresses=smtp:[EMAIL PROTECTED] name
Will give you just the dn and the "name" attribute.
Adfind -root -f proxyaddresses=smtp:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Will give you the dn and ALL A/D attributes for the object. Including
the objectcategory and all of the proxyaddresses that apply to that
object.

Subject: How do you search for an email address in Exchange 2003
I am running Exchange 2003.
I was trying to assign a secondary SMTP address to one of my mailboxes
when I received an error that the email address already exists. I'm
trying to find out who owns this secondary SMTP address but can't figure
out how. I used the FIND feature in Active Directory and did a FIND by
USER to search by Email address but it returns 0 results. My question is
: Is this the way to search on the SMTP address field ? Is there some
other way to look for this hidden email address ? Thanks.
