They all of a sudden stopped working. He deleted them all and just created one and it still doesn't work on the fly. If he goes into his rules and selects it to 'run now', it works. All the rules are simple moves, "If email is from userB, move to folderB". If the rule is active, and an email comes in from userB, an error pops up that says it tried to run a rule but can't find the folder even though the folder is there. Doesn't matter if it's cached mode or not. Any thoughts?
