We've had our Ex2000 on a EMC FC4700 since 12/02 and have not had any bad experiences with it. We are a small shop, though, with only about 120 users running std version. This last week we did move the data to a CX500 with double the cache so I do expect to see some improvement. However, as some others have said, the SAN needs to be setup properly.

Exchange on a SAN? We are getting ready to do a major overhaul of our servers as a bunch of them are getting ready to go end of life. I have two questions for the group. First we will be jumping on the SAN band wagon. Anyone have any opinions about, or good/bad experience putting exchange on a SAN? ( I only have one exchange server) Second I have always used Backup Exec for my backup software. With our storage needs changing we are looking at going with Commvault for our backup software. Any input on Commvault? Thanks Matt _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To subscribe: http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
