I limited access to the GFI public folders. I gave users a set of folders to use which could be reviewed and manually moved messages to the folders which would be scanned by ME. A real pain.
The eventual answer was a change to SurfControl Email Filter. Mail Essentials is a nice little product, and a real value for the price. But not scalable, or appropriate for larger organizations. I enabled Public Folder scanning in the Mail Essentials and the powers that be are showing concerns about this feature. They are worried someone might throw a valid Email in the BlackList or Spam public folder and have it tagged as spam for everyone else in the organization. Currently I have SpamBayes installed on all the clients( one of the reasons I want mail essentials :) ) and they like the ability to individually "train" their spam filter. Have any of you that have installed GFI ME run into theses similar concerns before, is so, how did you take care of them ? Thanks , Jose _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To subscribe: http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
