Exchange 5.5 (yes, I know... Ancient, no longer supported by Microsoft, etc)
and Windows 2000 Server.
We have some Compaq Proliant RAID arrays which can hold up to 6 drives. If
this is attached directly to the mail server, could I use that, with
NTBackup, to back up our Exchange 5.5 data? Also, what would I need to
backup? Can I just back up the mail folder database or would I need to back
up the entire "Exchsrvr" folder structure (currently about 60 gigs on one
mail server and 57 GB on the other)?
Also, would I be able to do this while Exchange is running or would I need
to stop the Exchange-related services?
Thanks
John
