What does "isn't too heavily loaded" mean? How many users? What resources are available on the server?
If I had no other choices for hardware, I might be inclined to run SQL on a VM to isolate it from Exchange. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Erick Thompson Sent: Thursday, April 13, 2006 4:31 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Exchange 2003 Standard and SQL Server 2005 on same server? I have a server that isn't too heavily loaded that is currently running Exchange Server 2003 and LCS. I would like to install SQL Server 2005 on the system to run some CRM and reporting applications. If the hardware is powerful enough, is there any reason not to install SQL Server 2005 and Exchange/LCS 2003 on the same server? Thanks, Erick _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To subscribe: http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
