Afternoon to you all We have a problem with Exchange in a newly created Child Domain.
Here is the setup W2003 AD - all DCs are GCs Exchange2003 sp2 Up until Tuesday, AD was single domain with all Staff and Students mailboxes within it. Students use this domain to logon as well. We are about to move our Staff from an NT domain into AD and decided to redesign the AD at before this by adding a child domain for them. Domain has been built and Domainprep for exchange has been run. (again all DCs are GCs) If a new user is created within this domain and then mailbox enabled, it will recognise that it has a mailbox but won't update the mail address details. I have created 2 new RUS services, one for each new DC but the primary Exchange server is registering the following events in the Event log Source MSExchangeAL Category LDAP Operations Event ID 8270 LDAP returned the error [32] Insufficient Rights when importing the transaction Source MSExchangeAL Category Address List Synchronization Event ID 8317 The service could not update the entry - Permission propagation I have checked and the Inherit permissions is one Can anyone help with this? Do I need to re-run /Forestprep because of the new domain?
