Just recently had a case where auto archive was turned off, but the user had previously set auto archive on the calendar folder....
So whilst the group policy may turn the prompt off will it also turn off any folder specific auto-archives??? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Chris Scharff Sent: Thursday, 29 March 2007 02:28 To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: blasted auto archive Exchange doesn't have an autoarchive feature[1], Outlook does. Disable it via GPO. I recommend controlling existing archive files by running a logon script which locates all local PST files and then deletes them. [1] Technically I think the Exchange client had autoarchive, but that's no longer supported. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Aristotle Zoulas Posted At: Wednesday, March 28, 2007 8:36 AM Posted To: swynk Conversation: blasted auto archive Subject: blasted auto archive Hello, running Exchange 2003. What is the best way to disable the auto archive feature in Exchange once and for all. I mean the pop that comes up on the user side asking "do you want to archive items". Is it by group policy or some other way? Also, how do we control existing archive files that users may have created by clicking "YES".
