Your message appears to be missing line breaks, but I think you're saying
three CAs, config, users and PFs, which would be fine. I think you're
confused about where the CAs are connecting. The Exchange 2003 server to
which two of the CAs connect is your Site Replication Server, correct? To
the CAs it sort of looks like an Exchange 5.5 server, so it's as if the CAs
are connecting to Exchange 5.5.

You will want to keep the CAs until you no longer have Exchange 5.5. That
could be when your "smaller site" goes to Exchange 2003 or when you
consolidate it into one administrative group, something you really ought to
consider.

Subject: ADC Connection Agreements Query?

Some time back I upgraded the only 5.5 server in one of our sites to 2003.

That means we have a single Exchange Org, with 2 Admin Groups, one Admin
Group has an Exchange 2003 box, the other has an Exchange 5.5 box.

Can someone confirm what CA's I should expect to see in the ADC?

I'm seeing:

Config_CA - from our DC to our 2K3 Server Public Folders - from our DC to
our 2K3 Server Public Folders - from our DC to our 5.5 Server Users - from
our DC to our 2K3 Server Users - from our DC to our 5.5 Server

If I recall correctly I don't/can't do anything with the ADC until our
smaller site goes to 2003, but it's so long ago I could do with a reminder,
if anyone can remember :)

Everything is/has been ticking along nicely since the upgrade around a year
ago, so I'm not desperate to break it, just not sure wht I still need the
ADC connections for a site that no longer has a 5.5 box?

TIA,
Paul
