Greetings,
I am an Exchange administrator in a site with around 800 users, several AD
child domains, one forest, all Exchange servers in the same domain. 2
mailbox servers, Exchange 2003, and one OWA/Front-end server, also Exchange
2003. Approximately 80GB data per mailbox server (160GB total). Symantec
Mail filtering for Exchange.
I am being asked to look at Exchange 2007 for a coming hardware refresh over
the summer (64 bit hardware). Looking at this list's archives, not a lot of
talk about Exchange 2007. That and I see SP1 is not expected until fall--or
later. I waited to upgrade to Exchange 2000, then 2003, and am not known as
an early adopter, as I favor reliability over features. However if I want
to wait to upgrade this time I better have good reasons, and if no
significant objections from this list I will reconsider my reluctance to
upgrade.
1. Are any large shops running Exchange 2007 in production? If so how
about a report card?
2. Any comments from anyone running 2007 in a development environment
simulating 500+ users and 100GB data stores?
3. Any comments from anyone else running Exchange 2007?
-Jim Clayton
