Well, that's what it's designed to do, isn't it?  If your SAN guys are
worried, then I'd be worried that they don't have an adequate design for
your intended purpose!

Has anyone seen much an impact on SAN storage when running JetStress for a
high-profile/large store test?  Our Hitachi USP 100 is dedicated to Exchange
for the most part, but our SAN guys are still worried about the cache impact
of JetStress, since it builds up databases and then turns around and starts
applying lots of Jet reads/writes...
